Southborough business and nonprofit guide wins award

A little over a year ago, the Southborough Economic Development Team published a community guide intended to help ?build a positive business environment? in town. Last month the team announced the guide was honored with an award. You can read more in this press release.

The Town of Southborough has been distinguished with an award from the Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) for its Business, Nonprofit and Community Guide, published by Global Design & Publishing, LLC.

The Guide was honored by NEDA with the distinction of ?Excellent,? for Best Practices in Literature and Promotions for Economic Development. The brochure is the principle marketing piece for Southborough, which is promoting economic development and welcoming those who may wish to locate in the community. It was designed to provide readers with insight as to why residents, companies, and nonprofits prefer to live, work and establish their businesses in Southborough.

?We are excited about this wonderful recognition and congratulations to all those involved in its publication,? stated Town Administrator, Mark Purple. ?Developing and maintaining relationships with our business community is vital to the growth and sustainability of our community. To strengthen our financial well-being, it is critical that we continue to find ways to retain and attract businesses to Southborough.?

The publication was created in collaboration with the Town Leadership, Economic Development Team, local businesses and nonprofits. The Guide is rich with information that communicates the unique aspects of the community including development opportunities, business resources, nonprofits, recreational resources, places of worship, the arts, entertainment, town facilities, colleges, schools, parks, and annual events.
