The city of Santa Clara will have to offer the National Football League considerable financial concessions to host the Super Bowl in 2016 or 2017, the Mercury News reports.
The NFL is looking for concessions including possible tax breaks and a portion of tax revenues from hotels and other venues.
Santa Clara is a finalist in the competition for hosting the event. The NFL's offer also applies to other finalist cities.
