• Carol Brady, "The Brady Bunch"

  The quintessential TV housewife, Carol Brady was known for managing her blended household of six children, and always <a href="http://www.tvland.com/shows/brady-bunch/bios/florence-henderson" target="_hplink">"finding clever ways to zing"</a> her husband Michael Brady. • Lois Wilkerson, "Malcolm In The Middle"

  Lois Wilkerson may be better known for her role as the mother of Francis, Reese, Malcom, Dewey and Jamie, but she and husband Hal had a great marriage. They were always attracted to each other, and still managed to make it work despite the fact that Hal's family referred to her as "Lois Common Denominator."

• Peggy Bundy, "Married With Children"

  Peggy Bundy was not a normal housewife. She didn't cook, clean or do laundry -- she just bought new clothes when her clothes got dirty. She ended up hitched to her husband Al on a dare in season one and spent her time buying expensive items on Al's dime. We'd call that memorable!

• Carmela Soprano, "The Sopranos"

  Carmela and Tony Soprano were high school sweethearts who married young. Tony's Mafia dealings and cheating ways put Roman Catholic Carmela in a difficult spot, but even after a separation, their marriage survived. Being a mob wife wasn't all bad for Carmela -- she often used her status to get what she wanted.

  Though Marge's lackluster twin sisters disapprove of him, her marriage to Homer has survived all of his antics and even a few instances of infidelity.

• Clair Huxtable, "The Cosby Show"

  Clair Huxtable was all about elegance. Her intelligence and class kept her from losing an argument to husband Cliff, played by Bill Cosby. The lovely lawyer was the head of the household and took charge in disciplining the kids -- and Cliff.

• Lucy Ricardo, "I Love Lucy"

  Lucy Ricardo was a housewife who wanted to be anything but. Her dreams of stardom were always getting her into trouble -- usually with husband Ricky. Her jealousy of her drummer hubby's career had her trying her best to get into his shows every chance she got.

• Vivian Banks, "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

  Vivian Banks was a retired doctor on the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." In the first half of the series, her strict attitude kept her nephew, Will, in check, and kept her on the same level as judge husband, Philip.

• Kitty Foreman, "That 70s Show"

  Kitty Foreman was a housewife with a memorable laugh. She was normally sweet and kind and just the opposite of her sarcastic husband Red. Kitty did have a mean streak -- when she was angry, the bleeps from her swearing could overpower an episode.

• Morticia Addams, "The Addams Family"

  Morticia Addams was insistant that her family uphold the Addams family tradition: to not do anything pleasant. She would often get her husband Gomez's attention by calling to him in a foreign language, and the pair adored each other.

• Gloria Pritchett, "Modern Family"

  Gloria Pritchett, the much younger, much sexier wife of patriarch Jay Pritchett, is often seen looking for her husband on "Modern Family." Her calls of "Jay! JAY!" and mispronunciations of words in her thick Colombian accent never end, as does her devotion to her husband and her son, Manny.

• June Cleaver, "Leave It To Beaver"

  June Cleaver was one half of the perfect suburban parenting pair on "Leave It To Beaver." She was a housewife, favoring activities like needlepoint work and cake decorating -- and usually saw all of her hard work around the house ruined by mischievous Beaver. June always had perfect hair, dress and makeup, even when she was just cleaning the house.

• Roseanne Conner, "Roseanne"

  Roseanne Conner was the sarcastic, dominant wife to husband Dan. Roseanne Barr played the title character and brings much of her sassy and comedic personality to the screen. Underneath her sometimes abrasive attitude, Roseanne genuinely cares for her family.

• Edith Bunker, "All In The Family"

  Edith Bunker and hubby Archie were opposites, but that didn't keep Edith from being extremely loyal. Archie, perhaps lovingly, called her a "dingbat" quite often, but never failed to come to her when he needed advice -- which she'd always give in her trademark shrill voice. Sadly, in the show's spin-off, "Archie Bunker's Place," Edith dies from a stroke.
