It will not be long now before residents and visitors of Torrance and the South Bay area will have the opportunity to partake in a celebration of what is known as the best cuisine in the area, at the 26th Annual ?Evening Under the Stars? Gourmet Food and Wine Festival.
The event, which will be hosted by the American Honda Motors Company, Inc, will take place at the Torrance Campus on Saturday, July 28, from 6:00 pm until 9:30 pm. Participants will be able to taste the foods of dozens of top-notch restaurants and sample from a stock of approximately 80 different wines. Professional sommeliers of the Napa Rose restaurant will be educating participants about the different wines and they may have some
poster printing done to facilitate their presentations. The event is a Coat and Tie affair, and tickets must be purchased in advance, with a cost of $125 per person or $200 for a pair.
The aim of the event is not only to celebrate the local cuisine but also to raise funds for the construction of a new tower being added to Torrance Memorial Medical Center, which is a nonprofit organization. This is the 6th year in a row that Torrance Memorial has been the chosen beneficiary. The highlights of the event will comprise live entertainment, a silent auction, food tasting, and wine sampling.
