Firefox has long been a darling of the browser world, but the past twelve months has seen the Mozilla-made software lose its footing to Google?s Chrome in a big way. While the desktop battle wages on, the next frontier to conquer is certainly mobile, and Mozilla is promising something ?big? in that space next week.
On Firefox?s Twitter, the company on Friday teased that something ?Fast. Smart. Safe.? is coming to Android next week. This would presumably mean an updated experience is coming to do battle with Chrome for Android, which is expected to be the mobile OS?s main browser in Android Jelly Bean.
Firefox for Android has seen a slow but steady uptick in development since it was made available, and the teaser suggests fans may finally get an experience akin to using the browser on the desktop. Google I/O is next week. Firefox for Android is about to do something ?big? next week as well. We can?t wait.
